EIP- Early Intervention Program K-5

Hello Eagle Families! I am very excited to be your EIP teacher at Riverview. I am transferring from Forsyth County Schools where I taught in the classroom for 15 years and EIP for 5 years. Prior to that I taught in Kansas for 7 years. I received my undergrad from Kansas State University, where I also cheered for the Wildcats football and basketball teams. My Masters was achieved from Webster University, and My Ed.S., in Educational Supervision and Leadership, was from Lincoln Memorial University in TN.

I have been married to Jeff for 26 years and we have two beautiful girls! Both were reading young and in the gifted programs through Fo.Co. Schools. Brooke just received her finance degree from Valdosta State University and Emily will be a sophomore at NFHS this year. Outside of school I coach gymnastics at Fusion Athletic Center. I also play tennis, love time at the lake, gardening, and reading books!

I enjoy setting goals with children and working hard to achieve them. My relationships with my teacher, students, and community are very important to me. I look forward to a wonderful year together!

"Children start school at a designated chronological age but differ greatly in their intellectual development and experience base. The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. The purpose of the Early Intervention Program is to provide additional instructional resources to help students who are performing below grade level obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade-level performance in the shortest possible time." (Georgia Department of Education)

Our goal with the EIP program at Riverview Elementary is to help your child reach academic grade level.  We look forward to working with you!
