Jackie Sides
Third Grade Teacher

I am very excited to be a third grade teacher at Riverview Elementary. I am originally from Missouri, but have lived in Georgia for over 15 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of North Georgia. I have my reading endorsement, and am currently completing my gifted endorsement. I have worked as a paraprofessional in Forsyth County for four years prior to coming to Riverview.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, running, reading, baking, decorating cakes, painting, going to the beach, high performance driving (my husband and I are part of a Chump Car race team), and traveling to foreign countries. I have lived in Venezuela (third through fifth grade) and traveled to Mexico and New Zealand, as well as many different states. I hope to add many more countries to my list, and hope to be able to check off that I have visited every state. One of my career goals is to write, illustrate, and publish a children's book before retiring from teaching.

My husband (who is in the U.S. Navy) and I have been married for over 15 years and we have 2 wonderful children who will be in high school next year.
