Hannah Lumme, Music
Hello! My name is Hannah Lumme and I started teaching music at Riverview in the fall of 2014. In my classroom I design my lessons utilizing the methods of all of the primary music educators: Carl Orff, Zoltán Kodály, Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, and I also root lessons in the philosophies and theories of Edwin Gordon and Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. In addition, we as a district are excited to begin incorporating the Quaver digital music learning platform into the classroom.
In a pre-covid-19 world, I founded the Riverview Choristers, an extracurricular after-school-chorus that was evaluated at LGPE each year. We look forward to continuing rehearsals for the Choristers in the future.
More personally, my family and I live on a small 7-acre farm where we spend the majority of our spare time tending to chickens and maintaining our fall and winter gardens. I also enjoy yoga and photography.
