Hello My Name Is...

Tasha Hamil

Assistant Principal 

My name is Tasha Hamil.  I am the very proud Assistant Principal at Riverview Elementary School!  I grew up in Dawson County and continue to live in this great community.  


I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, a Master's Degree, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I also obtained several endorsements in the areas of Reading, Math, ESOL, and a Leadership Certification in Georgia.  


I began my teaching career in Forsyth County before returning to Dawson County.  My experience includes teaching in all elementary positions including EIP, ESOL, Gifted, and Special Education.  Before my time as an administrator, I served as a Title I Instructional Technology Coach. 


My husband Don is also in education.  Our five children attended RvES and the other schools in Dawson County.  Our oldest son is now a student at the University of Georgia studying Atmospheric Sciences, Geography, and Mathematics to become a Meterologist.
